What advantages does LoRa communication offer?

The device and the electricity meter do not communicate via Wi-Fi, but via LoRa. This offers better wall penetration and a more stable, reliable connection.

What is the RS485 interface used for?

1. Wired direct connection to the electricity meter – faster data transmission and response time.
2. Supports cluster networking of multiple devices – faster control of cluster power, also possible in offline mode (the meter communicates with the master via LoRa, master and slave via RS485).
3. Reading of operating data via the Modbus protocol.

Is the device automatically activated when connected to the power grid?

Yes, the device supports the AC wake-up function – it activates automatically as soon as it is connected to the power grid.

How do I properly turn off the device?
